I'm glad she responded so well -- it's terrific that you know what motivates her.
-- NancyPeter and Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10329947206142706470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30065587.post-8217600627951990052008-08-27T08:36:00.000-07:002008-08-27T08:36:00.000-07:00Oh yeah, that anonymous was me, Michele. :)Oh yeah, that anonymous was me, Michele. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30065587.post-47193306053933514822008-08-27T08:35:00.000-07:002008-08-27T08:35:00.000-07:00I am still learning that reward system and its eff...I am still learning that reward system and its effectiveness! Good for you for figuring it out at nearly 2!!! And good for that smart little cutie of yours for understanding right from wrong and responding appropriately!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30065587.post-52546554099823062882008-08-27T07:33:00.000-07:002008-08-27T07:33:00.000-07:00So glad the positive reinforcement worked for you....So glad the positive reinforcement worked for you. Maddie and Auri went through quite a biting spell, with no orphanage history to account for it. They would even, at times, draw blood. We started ignoring the biter and lavishing the bitten with lots of attention, and the biting quickly stopped :)
KristyThe Labonteshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17024038216984694277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30065587.post-62024652658045651082008-08-26T18:42:00.000-07:002008-08-26T18:42:00.000-07:00Hi Julie! My niece, also adopted from India, never bit anyone, but she did (and still does, sometimes!) hoard toys. My sister-in-law finds 8 or 10 different toys beneath her pillow almost every night. And she doesn't have any siblings who might threaten to take them (although there IS a very sneaky cat in the picture, who, on occasion has been known to snatch a toy or two).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30065587.post-14884545539517310942008-08-26T13:05:00.000-07:002008-08-26T13:05:00.000-07:00Whoa Julie!
